Landscape Architect

Job Description:

2IM Group is looking for a Landscape Architect to join our team! This position is seeking someone who works in urban and rural landscapes and uses design, technical skills, management, ecology, problem solving and innovation across projects and tasks to create and implement landscape designs.

This is a full-time position that includes our benefits package (health care, vision, dental, health savings account, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, etc.).

Duties and responsibilities:

The Landscape Architect’s typical duties and responsibilities include:

• Landscape Plan Review: review all landscaping plans, summary of quantities and cost estimates for various roadway contracts.

• Adhering to all industry standards in design and plan reviews.

• Preparing and presenting design proposals, reports, and cost estimates for proposed landscape plans.

• Competing for work by submitting request-for-proposal documents.

• Liaising with construction professionals during construction phases of projects.

• Knowledge of local plant material as well as invasive species.

Skills and qualifications:

Landscape Architects are creative, detail-oriented professionals who can work on multiple projects at a time without compromising the standard of their work. A successful Landscape Architect candidate will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications that typically include:

• Excellent design and drawing skills

• High levels of creativity and imagination

• Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD), AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite

• Excellent problem-solving and organization skills

• Strong teamwork and leadership skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Developing proficiency in project/budget management

Experience requirements:

• 3-5+ years of Landscape Architectural experience in an architectural, engineering, construction or design work place.

Education and training requirements:

• Registered Professional Landscape Architect

• An undergraduate/graduate degree in Landscape Architecture
