2IM Group is looking to hire an entry-level Landscape Architect/ Landscape Designer to work full-time at the Illinois Department of Transportation! This is a full-time position that includes our benefits package (health care, vision, dental, health savings account, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays, etc.).

Job Responsibilities:

• Review Landscape Plans to confirm adherence to all IDOT Standards and Specifications.

• Perform tasks requiring applications of standard Landscape Architecture procedures and techniques including creation of landscape plans and/or exhibits.

• Developing knowledge of IDOT Standards & Specifications.

• Apply local and legal regulations like health and safety protocols on-site while complying with State regulations.

• Developing knowledge of relevant local regulations and legislation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.

• Willing to work on roadway projects and comfortable being on roadsides.

• Knowledge of Midwestern Plant Identification.

• Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills (both graphically and verbally).

• Comfortable in outdoor site work and natural environments.

• 1-year professional experience.

• Able to understand construction projects and familiar with reading construction plans.

• Experience with construction plan preparation

• Willingness to be a self-starter and to grow in the position.

• Driver’s license required.
