US 6 at Parker Road

This project involved the intersection reconstruction of US Route 6 at Parker Road in Will County, Illinois. 2IM Group was the prime consultant responsible for geometric design, including horizontal and vertical alignment. Sub-consultants included HR Green for topographic survey, GSG Consultants for geotechnical investigation, and Ciorba Group for traffic signal construction documents.

2IM Group prepared plans, specifications, and engineer’s cost estimates. Originally, a roundabout was intended for the intersection, but IDOT later designated a signalized intersection to replace these plans.

2IM Group was responsible for utility coordination, which involved the relocation of fiber optic lines, gas mains, and power poles.

2IM Group also prepared a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
