Office Financial Support
Job Description:
An Office Financial Support is responsible for maintaining company and project financial information and supporting managers with reports and analysis of company and project financial performance.
Duties and responsibilities:
An Office Financial Support has the following responsibilities:
Enter financial inputs and vendor data and query information in enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
Maintain accurate financial records
Provide business and administrative operations support for multiple managers
Demonstrate business acumen towards company profitability and cost control - apply understanding to take actions that contribute to the company’s goals and business targets
Perform and support other related administrative responsibilities as required
Prepare monthly invoice tracking, weekly budget/hours tracking for some projects
Accounts receivable billing and collections
Accounts payable (run reports, cut checks)
Skills and qualifications:
An Office Financial Support will have certain skills and qualifications, which include:
1-3 years of accounting experience
Analytical skills to understand and analyze financial data and be able to identify trends and spot potential problems
Flexibility to adapt to change and support other administrative functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with clients, managers, and vendors
Attention to detail to double-check their work and catch errors before submittal
Organization to keep track of many tasks and deadlines at one time
Organizational skills to ensure records and reports are accurate
Computer skills in accounting computer programs
Education and training requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and training in accounting and billing.
Experience requirements:
Previous experience in project finance and accounting in a professional services field.
