Hydraulic/Drainage Engineer
We are looking for a Hydraulic/Drainage Engineer who has experience working with government entities. This is a full-time position with benefits included (3 weeks paid time off; Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance; LTD; STD; Life Insurance; 401K).
Duties/Responsibilities:
Work with a multi-discipline team of engineers in the design of roadway transportation and civil projects.
Prepare Phase I drainage studies and Phase II engineering plans and specifications.
Design, develop, and create plans in a timely matter.
Prepare plans and designs by collecting and studying reports, maps, and drawings.
Performs tasks requiring applications of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures.
Use design software to accurately render and communicate designs; plans and designs other necessary and related systems and structures such as transportation or hydraulics.
Standard design of civil project work.
Serve as a team member on multi-disciplined projects.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong background in drainage design, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, and stormwater management
Proficiency with common drainage design software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XPSTORM, Hydraflow, SUDA, EPA-SWMM, Hydraulic Toolbox, SMS/SRH-2D)
Ability to work as a part of a multi-discipline teams of engineers
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines while working on multiple projects concurrently.
Knowledge of design software including MicroStation, AutoCAD, Excel and Word.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
