The project stretches approximately 70 miles across Macon, Moultrie, and Coles counties in predominately agricultural land with some forested and riparian areas. As part of the ILR 10 Permit, the SWPPP is updated and modified as earth moving activities progress during the construction project. Additionally, the permit requires a weekly inspection and a post ½” rainfall event inspection until stabilization is achieved.

Holly Hirchert of IEPA performed an onsite inspection in October 2017. Her site visit highlighted the vegetative buffers adjacent to waterways, stabilized entrances onto farm fields, and stated that no complaints had been issued for the project.
