Lake Street Bridge Replacement Track Improvements

Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) Lake Street Bridge Replacement involves track improvements at the east and west ends of the Lake Street Bascule Bridge over the Chicago River.

2IM Group is providing track and signal engineering services. We are involved with the replacement of ties, fasteners, timber guards, track plankings, footwalks, handrails, fiberglass plakings, contact rail chairs, contact rail anchors, insulated joints, and running rails. Geometry improvements, side platform modifications, and incident signal/traction power work are also being performed.
