Landscape Architect
Summary:
Program Management and Organization (PMO) Services to assist with the oversight of design and engineering of multiple infrastructure improvements related a major City of Chicago redevelopment. Provide planning coordination, program organization, design guidance including plan review, agency coordination, construction quality assurance, organization of documents, and review and approval of estimates and schedules to ensure these improvements are delivered meeting applicable City, State, Federal and other requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) in providing oversight to help facilitate City approvals and management of the developer led infrastructure projects. Scope of these projects will include but not be limited to new and improved roadways; structural improvements including construction of three new bridges over the river, and two pedestrian bridges, and replacement or modification of three railroad viaducts and improvements to the adjacent sea walls; installation or modification of public and private utilities; transit, pedestrian and bicycle facilities; new street and viaduct lighting; traffic signals installations and modernizations; and streetscaping and riverwalk improvements.

Qualifications

4-9 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years' project management.

IL Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.

Knowledge of CDOT specifications and standards.

Developed written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate with clients, managers, and contractors.

Organizational skills to ensure records and reports are accurate.

Computer skills in a Bluebeam and CADD.
